I am a 24 year old drum and bass
DJ from Romford, Essex. I have been into drum and bass since
the jungle days, when I was a young teenager, right up to the
present day. I first experienced drum and bass as a raver, at
what was then Camden Palace, and since then have continued to
get more and more caught up in the music. I still enjoy going
to club nights, as a raver, like Ram, Playaz and Hospital nights
to keep up to date with the latest material that's being played
out there.
In my dj'ing career I have played
at numerous venues in and around London. My proudest
achievement was when I was given a residency at a club called
Ruby Tuesdays in Hertford which lasted 3 years. My mixing style
is flamboyant and like to keep the crowd guessing I like to
start off with new/current tunes and drop old classics over them
to really blow the crowd away. I structure my sets with a good
amount of mainstream material such as most Ram, TC or Bingo
releases and add a good helping of some of the darker and vocal
side of drum and bass, such as Dillinja, Hospital and releases
on the Metal Headz label to name only a very small selection of
records I use. After my sets, I like whenever possible to walk
around the club, meet the people and ask them what they thought
of my set, how their night has been and if they have any
suggestions that I could possibly use.
I have recently started producing
drum and bass and have some tunes under my belt which I am
hoping to pass onto some record companies. I have been using
the professional studio program Cubase and I am currently at
college to further my producing career.
