The sound of D.J Mike Anderson started in 1985 when he was nine years old. It all started when his uncle left him in charge of the sound system because he had to use the toilet. From that time Mike made sure he was involved in helping them on a regular basis especially in his school holidays and at important events. Mike grew up with the sound of Reggae, Soul and Soca - this was the music which was played in the dance halls and after hour parties of that time, some of his favourite artists from those days were Gregory Isaccs, Yellow man, Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye.

From this beginning Mike soon went onto play and listen to Hardcore (rave) , as an M.C and D.J playing in different venues such as raves held in fields, leisure centres, nightclubs and community centres around the country eg: Swindon, Reading, Birmingham, Norwich, Plumbstead, Bristol, Oxford ect…. These all helped Mike to develop his skills and his own style. At that time Mike’s favorite D.j was Easygroove. Know one could keep the crowd going like him and you could tell that he really liked to play, and knew how to keep the punters happy. Mike believes that practicle experience is fundamental for a D.J because he says “ I have been places were there where not many people it’s important that the people enjoy themselves, It’s not just about going and playing, We D.J’s are entertainers It is our job to entertain. The punters want value for money”.

This was a great way to perfect his style and also to get gigs in the surrounding areas. By having guest D.J’s and Artist’s on his show’s he was also able to help and promote new styles and sounds to people in the area. Following this Mike put out his first record on frontline records as part of the chemical agents crew

Mike then left England to live In Italy were he Learned more about house music, it’s style and it’s beauty. Now Mike Anderson From London plays once a week on a legal Radio Station in the south of Italy (Radio laser), and is building up a following over the air waves and in the clubs. He plays tribal house, Funky house, and hard electronic and trance. In this moment Mike wants to branch out and hit the worlds biggest and best venues with his practical House style of music. In a set From Mike you never know what music to expect because Mike keeps up to date with the best music from all over the world. From mike it’s fare to say you can only expect quality.

Storia personale (fino ad ora) Io a nove anni ho iniziato a fare il D.J. con mio zio, che suonava musica reggea. Successivamente ho incominciato a suonare musica HARD-CORE, ora conosciuta come DRUM AND BASS. Ho esordito suonando questa musica nelle radio pirate di Londra. Ho continuato a suonare in grandi depositi della capitale, in particolare a Woolwich e a Plumbsted. Trasferitomi a Birmingham per frequentare il Matthew Bolton College, ho lavorato sempre come D.J. nelle grandi discoteche del posto. In quel periodo ho anche suonato in alcuni Free Raves ad Oxford e Banbury, di cui il più prestigioso è il “Tribal Gathering”. In seguito ho viaggiato in vari posti come London, Bristol, Swindon, Windsor, Wolverhampton, Reading, Birmingham, Portsmouth, etc. Una delle migliori esperienze della mia vita è stata quella di affiancare per lungo tempo Boy George alla consolle della “House of Windsor” di Londra. Ho lavorato presso la radio di Reading “Oracle 107 F.M.” con il mio programma radiofonico che si chiamava “The Mike Cressford Show”, che è andato in onda due volte a settimana, per circa due anni e mezzo. Sicuramente questa è stata una bellissima esperienza che mi ha dato l’opportunità di avere molti contatti con diversi D.J. e personaggi illustri, come il produttore della “Human League”. Questa esperienza mi ha dato inoltre la possibilità di avere importanza e un notevole privilegio professionale nella città in cui lavoravo e nelle zone circostanti. Dopo un po’ di tempo ho realizzato il mio primo disco di DRUM AND BASS, il cui titolo era “ALPHA”,per la “Frontline Records”, di cui sono state vendute molte copie. In seguito mi sono trasferito in Italia, a Salerno, dove ho lavorato nelle più grandi discoteche ricevendo un’enorme soddisfazione professionale ed un’eccezionale popolarità, grazie anche al “Night and Day” della televisione Campana. Il mio desiderio ora è quello di continuare a creare grandi atmosfere nelle discoteche e su radio, non solo in Italia e in Inghilterra, ma nel mondo.
