Naveed Khaliq from Birmingham has many
years of experience as a professional DJ which became the attention of
topjox in 2002 from his unique sound without being afraid to be
different and all round technical ability as a mixer. His love for music
started a long way back at a early age were his inspiration sound was
from the likes of Ferry Corsten, which made Naveed think forward than
just a interest by working hard day or night perfecting his sound
and skills behind the mixing desk to become were his today as a finest
class DJ. His gigs have reached a audience in a true following way from
the classic Henry J Beans Birmingham to more recently Bash bar
Birmingham as a few to mention."I like to keep my style interesting by
building my set because people are open minded and want to hear more
than one style with trance by mixing electro,progressive in the set and
the state of trance scene is moving into the right direction by
producers making forward thinking sound" says Naveed.
Naveed is always on the move and taking
his music to another level by being the promoter of Fat funk in
Birmingham. The night is all about cutting edge electro house and does
not mean his lost the trance sound,"some people think Fat funk name is
pure funky house but it's not, you can expect the sound of similar to
pryda label to subliminal label because those labels have in common from
funky electro to dark twisted electro and electro trance" says Naveed.
Whether Naveed is on his solo Fat funk
project or DJ gig for promoters, he will be always on top of his
work and the future looks bright one step by each year.
