There’s no skool like the old skool!

Colin Churcher aka DOUBLE C  has been delivering the dopest disco for more than twenty years.

In 1977, the release of the dancefloor-classic ‘Carwash’ turned a casual interest into an all-consuming passion to deliver the freshest floor-filling sounds, far and wide.

 
 

Having started out on the mobile disco circuit, in the early 80's Colin’s taste and talent won him a residency at NW London nightclub ‘Les Elites’. At the same time he worked for The Mecca Agency and played out at various venues including Dingwalls (Camden) and ‘Cinderella Rockafella’ (Kingston & Northampton).  Colin also did shows for Julianas agency, including a 3 month placement abroad, at the ‘1001 nights’ club under the Hilton Hotel (Dusseldorf)

Colin also played out at Bootleggers (Margaret Street,London) Beat Route ( Greek Street,London ),Purple Pussycat ( NW3 ),Top Hat ( Ealing ) & Batchwood ( St Albans )

  

Of particular note, Colin also worked with Soul II Soul on their roadshow - he went with Soul II Soul down to Plymouth where they did two pa's - one at Samanthas and another at  Monroes, where they were also the judges in the South West Disco Mixing Competition. Including a live interview on Plymouth Sound radio that night via the phone. Colin also played at Dingwalls ( Camden ) with  Soul II Soul a few times , where they used to do Sunday lunchtime sessions.

Having taken a short break, Colin has recently returned with the residency at ‘Club Cristal’ in Watford.

With regular appearances at Vogue and Kandi Klub  ( Watford )

So although he specialises in 70s, 80s oldskool groove, r & b , boogie, house , disco and club anthems because he  lived and played through it  he is very versatile and can also provide you with sets of ‘ current ‘ floorfillers  or 90s and 00s club anthems  ,r & b  ,house ,club classics etc

so don’t forget
