SONIC THEORY
TECHNO - BREAK BEAT- HOUSE - TECH/ELECTRO HOUSE

While Djing during the last couple of years, I have learned that the most important things to remember as a DJ are to give the crowd a great time, and to play with passion. It’s all in the crowd-reading and your choice of tunes to create the right mood and atmosphere, and that’s what my sets are all about. I’m very enthusiastic about the music I play and I’ve always got my ears on the mix. I mix using vinyl as well as CD turntables. I’m also a producer of Breakbeat, Techno, and House music.

I have been the resident DJ for The Horn Live Music Venue, as well as having played at club nights, weddings, 21st birthday parties, and now I’m available to play at clubs and parties in the rest of the UK and the world. Book now!

The History
I started listening to dance music from the age of 9, when I was given my first radio. It was the early nineties, and dance music was everywhere. I was inspired by many of the tunes I heard at the time, and so I decided to go out and spend my pocket money on a few. When I got back home I would listen to the cds, I’d record the parts which I liked onto tape, and I would leave out the parts of the song which I thought were less exciting, and then recreate a new mix of it by recording all the parts I liked, one after another to make a new version of the song. So you could say I’ve been mixing from an early age. After a few years, however, I moved on to other things, and dance music took a backseat with me.

While I was at university, nevertheless, some friends introduced me to underground dance music of the likes of House and Breakbeat. I started to show an appreciation for it, bought a couple of records, went to clubs, and all of a sudden I was hooked! At the time, I was producing demos for local rock bands in my area, and felt highly inspired to produce a couple of dance songs of my own, mainly of genres such as breakbeat and house. The next thing I knew was that DJing is the way forward as far as playing and performing dance music is concerned, so I spent my summer job money on a pair of Technics and a mixer, and I’ve been glued to my turntables ever since! After gaining enough experience from Djing a wide range of events, I felt it was time to move my Djing to higher avenues, as this gives me the opportunity to play music that I really love and feel passionate about.
