Where to begin? I started ‘mixing’ in around 1996 using a guitar amp mixer and two walkmans! Needless to say I didn’t get very far! After a while I obtained some belt driven turntables and after some practicing finally learnt to beat match. My first set of direct drives were Soundlab dlp3s, and with these (and much listening to Hype and Sy) I set about learning to scratch. Eventually I upgraded to 1210s and never looked back.

I started on radio back in 1998 playing old school garage and house, but my first love was always drumnbass and hardcore. In those days, the scene had kind of gone back underground and it was difficult to get worthwhile gigs in those styles so garage was the way to go at that point, but now I’m on Eruption its old school all the way baby!! Onwards and upwards for 2007! My inspiration at this point in my DJ career would be 3 time DMC winners C2C, as they take sophisticated scratch techniques and make good music with them as opposed to just noise (no names mentioned)!! For any more info or samples of my sets etc, see my ‘MySpace’ page.

Peace out Peeps! Tommy logik
