TOPJOX WORKS FOR ME TRUE REAL LIFE STATEMENTS FROM TOPJOX DJS |

This is a true account written by this DJ Registered name. Dave Rees writes: I’m currently on fifteen agency/ promotional company books, however I can say that Top Jox is the only one that consistently provides opportunities for me, great ones at that! My first booking through Top Jox was a two and a half week tour based around Johannesburg, South Africa in June 2001. It was unbelievable; on my first day I remember seeing huge road signs & even an electronic billboard with my picture on saying ‘International DJ Dave Rees’ & then the clubs details. There was also a radio ad focusing on the tour. For my first gig at Masquerade, I was picked up in a Limousine, we arrived at the club to a cue that went all the way around the outside, I was ushered in to find a further 4,500 having it clubbers. The gig was fantastic, Masquerades busiest night ever, a huge success! Over the following two weeks I played at Decadance, Illusion, Cell Block & a further appearance at Masquerade, each one with a slightly different vibe but the same result. During the tour I carried out interviews for G.O. Magazine & Horizon Radio, totally new experiences for me. My days were filled having fun, checking out historic & beautiful South Africa & it’s culture, with the highlight, standing at the top of the Palace overlooking Sun City, an experience of a lifetime. Due to the success of the tour, there are plans for my return once the South African economy climbs. Huge thanks to Dean for booking me & organising everything & to my new friends Andre, Chantyl, Dixie, Deonne, Paul & everyone else I met. See you soon. In
September 2001, I was interviewed along with several other Top Jox
DJ’s for a DVD, “DJ’s
Complete Guide,” which has been on sale worldwide since January
2002. The DVD outlines all aspects of mixing, how to get gigs &
many other useful tips. Since
joining Top Jox I have built up many strong relationships with
promoters worldwide, including David Ribeiro of Insomnia Productions
in Madeira. On
Saturday 2nd March 2002, I played at ‘After The Drums’
alongside vocalist Rachael Bolton, A.K.A. Messiah, at The Cyber Café
at Funchal, on the beautiful Island of Madeira. On
Saturday 12th October 2002 I am playing in Lisbon, Portugal
for the grand opening of his new record store. David
(www.insomniaproductions.org) and my company (www.connekt2music.com)
are planning a week of parties in Madeira next summer, 2003, with many
different venues, DJ’s, labels, promoters & hosts. Currently
under negotiation are appearances in India & Canada. Throughout
the years I have had many other leads from all over the world but here
are the ones that have materialised. I
am very grateful to Gary, Angie, Camilla & everyone at Top Jox for
my world travels. Top Jox has been instrumental in my development as a
DJ both in building my profile & gaining experience. I thank you.
